Don O’Neal is an Emeritus Professor of Management at the University of Illinois Springfield, and has been a Visiting Professor at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. His first career was in business where over the years he progressed through engineering, customer service and sales, to become Vice President of Human Resources. In 1990 he resigned that position to become a student at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where over the next five years he earned a Ph.D. in Strategic Management.
As a professor he wrote three textbooks, all published by American Press Boston. Since retiring he has concentrated on writings inspired by his belief that we can do almost anything we set our minds to, if we dream big and believe in ourselves.
